Nope. No absentee balloting for those of us in foreign!

Why is this post tagged PNM? You betray Dooks or what?!

  3. By Mani on Nov 5, 2007 | Reply

Boy, this blogger thing was giving real trouble today. I was surprised to come home to find your comment because I couldn’t get Blogger to publish my post. I’m sure if it did, I might have seen that it was mistakenly tagged PNM. Betray Dooks? Nah! I stained my finger for him.

Well Mani boy thanks for yuh vote! Regardless of the outcome yuh represented for those not able to vote for the COP. I’m watching and listening to the results, feeling somewhat sad and also happy. Sad that people wanted change, they got it and then spit on it. Happy because some people can see 5 years down the road. That’s hope! Imagine in Diego Martin Central, a PNM “safe seat” I see 2000 plus votes for Nicole. Well as we continue to monitor it looks like another sad day for T&T as it heads back into the hands of the devil.

    Figured it was a mistake.

Sigh. 5 more years. We like it so. At least the COP did better than expected in the POS area…. but 0 seats? I was hoping they could at least ratch a couple…

Guess what? I just bought a Guy Fawkes mask, a wig and a cape and I am inviting you to stand with me exactly one year from tonight before the gates of Parliament.

If the crimes of this government remain unknown to you then I would suggest you allow the next fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight, outside the gates of Parliament, and together we show them that people should not fear the government - the government should fear its people.

I hope the COP would be able to stay together as an oragnization, even though they aren’t in parliament…we are going to need them to be strong for us soon…i hope mr. dookeran doesn’t give up…and realizes that the support he has been able to get in one yr can be multiplied in a few yrs….the people of trinidad and tobago needs the COP to stand strong regardless of this loss

we may have lost one battle…but we still have our dignity
lets show the people that we are not going to give up

Why do you practise censorship on your blog? Either you enccourage comment or you don’t.

    I’ll stand with v…
Mani another 5 years :(, maybe they will get a couple more [ *dramatic pause and drumroll*] “blimps” to solve the crime situataion. it is indeed the only solution.

Oh yes count on Johnboy to sum up exactly how this result was allowed to happen… “Free drinks for everybody! Wooohoooooooo!!!!”
The rum and roti politics of the PNM & UNC lives on. At least he only visits the rock maybe if more of his kind could leave then 148,041 progressive thinking persons will have a chance to get strong leadership.
Well as the elected are sworn in and the losing canidates are made honarary MP’s we can only hope to survive the next 5 years of hell!

Since you haven’t posted since the election results I’ve been catching up on the posts I missed. Funny quote from Triniobserver who seemed to favor the PNM for victory “I do, however, feel strongly about excessive government dependency”. That is a classic! Shubh Divali bloggers!

Boysieringo, I too was pleased at the number of votes people like Nicole Dyer received. Even though we are not there yet, hopefully we are on our way. By the way, leave Johnboy alone, he doesn’t yet know what it’s like to not be a sheep.

Ed, I too was hoping for at least a couple.

Lilandra, I understand your sadness. What else can you do?

    Vami, lol, me too.

No problem Jill, we all are.

I agree with you anonymous 8:35, I am ready to stain my finger again.

Anonymous, if I sensored your comment before you know exactly why I did. Don’t lie. I do encourage comments - not just those with which I disagree. If you want to make a worthwhile comment, then by all means do wo, but if you are here to be an ass, turn off mommy’s computer and be an ass elsewhere.

Nandi, yeah, cuz the blimps are working wonders, lol.

Trini down Under, we need some absentee ballots for people like you and Ed, boy.

Bandwagonist, we definitely needed a higher voter turnout. I was surprised that it was so low, this being the mother of all elections and all.

Cranky, lol. Well thanks for the effort. I hope you didn’t let them take it away from you.

anonymous 11:14, lol, well is only for we people who vote COP, lol.
