Security Detail on the Nestum

| Photo from today’s Newsday: Where we going? |
Looking at this Newsday photo it occurred to me that things could still be worse. When the Securicor guards with the shotguns start delivering the milk, that’s when you know inflation is out of control. When I was in the Midwest stores it was the firearms and Sudafed they kept under lock and key, here it’s the baby milk.

Things I don’t miss: powdered milk.
Anyway, I was amused by your comment on the Sudafed. I take it you were in one of those out of the way places where they were having issues with people using the Sudafed to cut meth, or whatever it is they do with it?

Hots! Sad is true….yeah gyul, it have some beasts what does be patrolling my blog leaving nasty racist comments. Why dey have time to waste reading a blog they don’t like from a blogger they despise, of a race they hate I have no idea…your guess is as good as mine. Obviously some people have nothing else to do.
Ed boy, go to the head of the class, lol. I lived in Meth country where people are limited to the amount of Sudafed they can buy. They don’t use it to cut the meth though, they use it to cook the meth….sad that I know that.

Sad, sad.
Race and inflation.
Trinidad and Tobago could be so much more, it’s ridiculous.

I grew up on powdered milk…..I even remember the little contest, collect 10 Nido Foils, get a radio, that no one else in the world would want…

Are you serious Mani? Can’t believe. I really can’t believe.

Okay I know it’s not funny but if you don’t laugh you will cry. Over here certain Kid’s Tylenol now protected behind the pharmacists counter. I actually walked into a grocery about 2 yrs ago over here and the special baby formula which was also the priciest was behind a glass under lock and key but so was the Crown Royal.

It’s not just the Midwest that is meth country now - even in NYC the Sudafed, and some other items have been behind the counter for a couple of years. You have to show photo ID and sign a book to buy it. Really sad!
And regarding the powdered milk, I’m with ed. Just thinking about it is turning my stomach!!!

sigh
so the people likely to need to steal have babies to take care of? it’s just a cycle of sadness to think about…
and I hate powdered milk, unless it’s in barfi - I am unfortunately in the land where they think powdered milk is real milk - I even had a cheesecake once with a layer of powdered milk all around (?!??!!!)

Trinidad real gone through since I leave boy.
Here in Birmingham, powdered milk kinda rare. I ketch meh ( * ) to get to make barfi.
I get fresh cow juice from a farm delivered to the door, and the shop round the corner gets fresh but pasteurised milk daily. Very cheap too.
The only place I saw powdered milk was the big supermarkets.

They’ve locked baby milk in cabinets in Toronto for awhile. They recently started putting an alarm that sounds when you open the case on razor blades.
It’s all about $$$.
