The Mirror again…
The TnT Mirror went ahead and published the tamer Sampson Nanton pictures for all to see. And why not? What else do you expect from the Mirror? This is the most tangible story they’ve had in years compared to all the allegations of “Hot Teachers having sex with students” and “Government Minister in love triangle murder plot”. I’m glad now that I decided not to post them, though. Especially as Attilah put down this column on Saturday, I feeling a little bad.

Mani, the line that used to seperate the Mirror from the other newspapers had become decidedly blurred in the last few years. Don’t disparage the Mirror - at least they remained true to form by printing them. They’ve never pretended to be other than what they are, which is a 2×4 newspaper that does marginal investigation with a minimal understanding of libel laws. What you’d be surprised to know is that the other newspapers regularly buy the Mirror to get news and an indication of what’s happening in the country. As embarrassing as it may seem, there’s usually plenty sense in the nonsense that they print.

Well, that’s true, the other dailies do sometimes print stories after they’ve passed through the Mirror’s bowels. I’m not sure though that the dailies are going to print this one perhaps, until it other things happen, that is.

Aye! I read the Mirror weekly, especially with the UNC folding in all its glory.
The thing is that the Mirror, though baccanalish, gives me more ‘news’ than the dailies. Why? Because they have more time to investigate stories.
After all, the dailies hear about a story at 3pm and rush to the scene, do a hurry report by asking ANYONE within 20 miles of said incident and then rush back to the newsroom to do their story to submit it by 7pm!!! No wonder the 3 dailies always have 3 versions of the same story!
Also, the Mirror is like theManicouReport in some regard. They print things ‘outside the box’ and without state sanctioned editions if you know what I mean.
After all, without the Mirror how would I have known Tim Goopeesingh outside woman ketch him with another outside woman while his wife was in Tobago?!! Up till now I ain’t see that on any daily.
Regarding Nanton I say publish de pictures man! He is a public figure and bet your bottom dollar he would have been first in line to publish them if they were of a noted public figure.
Don’t fall for any ole talk from any conventional media person on this one. They ALWAYS close ranks. To this day we don’t know the ‘truth’ about why Vaughn Salandy killed himself.
The Internet and sites like this are here to give people an open view on news and issues and because it is a media person - a messenger - we should not hide them from the realities of their personal actions. After all, isn’t that a type of news as well?

Boy, It have people in that thread who calling people first and last name and occupation, and although that link mightn’t get me in trouble, this surely will. Did you see someone there mentioned the initials GK? Do you know who that is. If you don’t, e-mail me. Next thing you know people start listing other people licence plate number and all.
And i know is people from CNC3 or at least TBC who doing that because they have real information. Plus through my statcounter I saw they were using TTOL’s own internet so I know is there some of them working. So before I get in serious trouble, I thought it best to just close further comments on it and eventually hide all the comments. Because I sure accusing people without evidence is slander. So I doh mind at all that people discuss Nanton, but I won’t get in trouble for some Anons.
Oh gosh boy, yuh didn’t have to compare me to Patos, lol!
